01Is my-resume free?
It is free to start. Every account gets a free window of 24 hours of unlimited AI access, once every 7 days, with no card required. If you want continuous access beyond that window you can buy an optional prepaid time-pass (₹59 for 7 days, ₹109 for 15 days, ₹219 for 28 days). There is no subscription and no auto-renewal.
02What is the catch with the free window?
No catch. When you first use any AI feature, a 24-hour window opens during which all AI features are unlimited. After it closes, it reopens 7 days later. Building your profile, editing LaTeX, and downloading are always free; the window only gates the AI generation steps.
03What does ATS-optimised mean?
Most companies run resumes through Applicant Tracking System (ATS) software before a human reads them. my-resume formats every resume to pass these filters: clean single-column structure, parseable text, the right keywords from the job description, and no exotic fonts or tables that break the parser.
04How does the AI tailor my resume to a job description?
Paste the job description and my-resume extracts the critical skills, seniority signals and recruiter priorities, then rewrites your bullet points and reorders sections to match. It sources every concrete claim from your existing profile rather than inventing new ones.
05Will the AI invent experience I do not have?
No. my-resume is honesty-first: it will not fabricate experience or claim skills that are not on your profile. When a job description requires a skill you are missing, it flags the gap and suggests how to learn it instead of lying on your resume.
06What file format do I get?
A LaTeX-typeset PDF, single page by default, for pixel-perfect and ATS-parseable output. You can preview it in the browser and download it whenever you are ready to apply.
07Is my-resume built for India?
Yes. It understands Indian date, phone and currency conventions and the ATS patterns Indian recruiters use, and pricing is in INR. It works for job seekers anywhere, but it is tuned for the Indian market.
08How is my data protected?
Your resume content, profile and job descriptions are encrypted at rest with a per-user AES-256-GCM key. Data handling follows India's DPDP Act principles, we never sell or share your input data, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the dashboard.
09Do you store my card?
No. Payments are processed by Razorpay (UPI, cards, net banking). We never store your card details on our servers.
10Can I get cover letters and cold emails too?
Yes. Alongside the resume, my-resume generates a matching cover letter and a short cold outreach email for each job description, plus a per-JD study plan for the skills you are missing.
11How is my-resume different from Overleaf, Zety, or Canva?
Overleaf gives you LaTeX but no AI tailoring; Zety and Canva give templates but weaker ATS parsing and no honesty guardrails. my-resume combines JD-specific AI rewriting with LaTeX-quality PDF output and refuses to fabricate experience. See the detailed comparison pages linked below.
12What happens after my plan expires, and can I get a refund?
When a time-pass expires you simply revert to the free tier (the 24h-per-7-day window). Buying again stacks time onto whatever you have left. We do not offer cash refunds, but if a bug, outage, or AI hiccup costs you a day, we add a free day — just contact support.
